GCA Advises Jochen Schweizer on Its Sale to ProSiebenSat.1 Group
Entrepreneur and extreme athlete Jochen Schweizer — considered a pioneer in the digitalization of leisure and experiences — built the eponymous Munich-based company. Jochen Schweizer GmbH’s online shop serves as a source of inspiration and search engine for thousands of different experiences around the world. The company’s success has been furthered by its strong brand and its expansion into omnichannel distribution through 5,000 retail partners and over 40 proprietary brick-and-mortar stores.
ProSiebenSat.1 considers the addition of Jochen Schweizer’s brand, expertise and omnichannel positioning to its portfolio a key component of its commerce strategy.
ProSiebenSat.1 will combine the acquired company with its own experience provider Mydays under the umbrella of Jochen Schweizer Mydays Holding GmbH, and Jochen Schweizer will maintain a 10% stake in this new company. Both brands will have an equal status and will complement each other, promote technical innovations, and expand their omnichannel retail presence.
