GCA Advises Mobysoft on Its Minority Investment From Livingbridge
Mobysoft’s software is used daily by property managers operating almost a fifth of the UK’s 5.2 million affordable housing properties. The company’s core product, RentSense, is a Software as a Service (SaaS) based predictive analytics tool that helps affordable housing landlords more effectively and efficiently secure rent payments. Using a range of data, including historic trends, RentSense’s algorithms identify potential collection issues, saving time by allowing staff to focus on the highest priorities and cutting arrears by tens of millions of dollars a year.
Growing rent arrears is an issue for the UK’s affordable housing providers. Rent reductions, welfare reform and increased numbers of tenants are adding to cost pressures in the sector and driving the need for greater efficiency. Mobysoft will use Livingbridge’s investment to increase its affordable housing market share, expand its geographical presence, introduce its predictive analytics software into new verticals and further invest in its people.
This deal adds to GCA’s substantial track record in the real estate technology sector, having recently advised on Skyslope’s sale to Fidelity National Financial and Commission Inc.’s sale to Fidelity National Financial.
